When five teenagers sat down and posed for a picture at Copco Lake,
they started a wonderful tradition. Every 5 years since 1982, these five
friends meet at an old cabin in Northern California to capture the same
photograph they took when they were teenagers. When they were asked
why they do it, they said,“By vowing to take a photo every five years, it
would be a way to stay in touch.” It’s a friendship time capsule!
The friends spoke regularly in the years between the photos. Will they
really meet again for the photo in 2017? We’ll just have to wait and see.
