After their child’s third birthday, these parents decided that they were going to do
something extra special to celebrate the kid turning four. They certainly succeeded.
Outside of a tyrannosaurus rex or a tyrannosaurus rex that shoots lasers, there’s
nothing a little boy wants more than their own secret treasure room.
Utilizing the unused storage space attached to their son’s room, Sarah and her
spouse created a wonderful place for playing, learning, and pretty much anything
that’s involved in being a kid.
See how they did it!

Behind this dresser was an unused storage room.
Their child didn't know about it...
..and why would he?
It was empty, uninviting, and falling apart.
So, as a fourth birthday present, they fixed it up.
Filled it with fun stuff.
Such as the Genie from Aladdin (voiced by Robin
Williams, RIP... thank you again for all the laughs)
And revealed it to him as "The Secret Treasure Room."
I'm guessing he liked it.
What was especially adorable is how the entire day went down. They had a series
of clues in the house which eventually led the little boy to the secret door. When he
arrived, this was the conversation between him and his mother:
Me: "What do you think we should do?"
The Boy: "I think we should peek inside it."
Me: "What do you think is in there?"
The Boy: "Some treasure is in there." He walked in wide eyed and asked,
"where is my birthday present?"
Me: "You are in your birthday present."
The Boy: "What is it?"
Me: "It is a whole room."
"A treasure room!" As he took it in he got very excited and declared that he would
show it to everyone.
I gave him the tour of the room. "Oh, this is pretty cool, mother."
Then it really sank in. "A secret treasure room! I like this room so much," he jumped
up and down. "Thank you father and mother."
One thing is for sure - this little boy will never ever forget his 4th birthday present
for as long as he lives.
