During the San Jose 408k run, a race that benefits the foundation for fallen
Army Ranger Pat Tillman, a mutual act of kindness occurred that’ll touch your heart.
The race ran through the neighborhood where 95 year-old World War II veteran Joe Bell lived.
For special occasions, the veteran would don his uniform (which amazingly still fit him).
He wanted to support the runners working hard for such a good cause,
so he put on his uniform and stepped outside.

Joe Bell is a veteran and neighborhood celebrity.
This sweet 95 year-old always has a kind word for passers by.
So when the San Jose 408k race went by his front door,
he stood outside to cheer them on.
He just didn’t expect them to cheer for and thank him in return!
This mutual act of kindness just melts my heart.
Not only did Joe Bell want to support the runners,
but those runners couldn’t help but thank the 95 year-old veteran
for all that he had done for our country.
